Does PressLume see what I type?

Only to draw it on your screen. Nothing you type is stored, logged, or sent anywhere, and password fields never appear.

Why does it need Input Monitoring?

macOS requires this permission for any app that shows your key presses. PressLume asks once, during setup.

Can I hide regular typing?

Yes. Special Keys Only shows shortcuts, modifier keys, and clicks, and hides everyday typing.

How do I turn it on and off?

Press ⌃⌥⌘↩ from anywhere, or use the switch in the menu bar.
